Welcome to the Holbrook Facility at Dog Works, Canine Form and Function.

Agility classes are held by me on Monday during the day and now evening at this location.  The floor is  fantastic, non-slip and comfortable for the dogs and people to work on.  It is 3/4" playmats, covered by 1/4" R & B Rolled Rubber matting.

The working floor space for agility is 40' x 50'.  The equipment is solid, well maintained and from various well known suppliers, Max 200, Agility Works, Mad Agility and others.

Class schedule:

(classes are one hour in length and session is 7 weeks long)

 

Afternoon Classes

Agility Novice 2:00    fee $115

Agility Novice 3:15   fee $115

Agility Competition 4:30  fee $115

Evening Classes

Agility 6:30 Beginner  fee $125

Agility 7:45 Novice  fee $115

Beginners class for dogs that have never seen equipment.  Handlers can be familiar with equipment.  Introduction to the equipment, how to teach your dog to jump, weaves, contact obstacles will to shown to your dog.  Handlers will learn how to safely train the dogs to navigate around the obstacles.  Obedience for agility will be addressed, sit, stay, come which is crucial to training agility.  How to use food and toys in the training of agility will be shown to the handlers and dogs.

Novice  after completing Advanced Beginner class, dogs and handlers are putting together more complicated skills and sequences.  Weave training is moving along nicely, more complicated entrances to poles.

Pre-Competition dogs and handlers are working on more complicated sequences and skills.  Weaves are almost closed and see saw work is progressing nicely.

Competition dogs and handlers working more on handling and more difficult sequences.  Special skills will be taught; front, rear crosses, switches, distance work and many other things a dog and handler need to step into the competition agility ring.

LIE EXIT 61 SOUTH.  Proceed to 4th light after South Service Road.  This is Broadway Avenue.  Make right onto Broadway Avenue.  Proceed around bend staying on Broadway.  Continue past elementary school.  You will come to a set of two traffic lights by a 7-11.  Dogworks is the second building after the 7-11 on the right hand side of the road.  It is right behind Total Pet Care.

 

SUNRISE HWY EASTBOUND EXIT 50--LINCOLN AVE/BROADWAY AVE.  Proceed on service road crossing Lincoln Ave.  Next light is Broadway Avenue.  (Attias Flea Market on right)  Make a left onto Broadway Avenue.  Proceed north crossing  Rte  454/Vets Hwy.  Dogworks is second building on the left.

 

SUNRISE HWY WESTBOUND EXIT 51--NICHOLS ROAD/RTE 454 VETS HWY.  Proceed on service road going under Nichols Road overpass.  Bear right onto Rte 454.  At  first light-Broadway Ave-make right.  Dogworks is second building on the left.
