On April 25, Kane Raven and I went to a Disc Dog Competition in Yorktown Heights, put on by Hooked on Dogs, we were there to watch our good friend Marty Levy and his dogs Nan and Penny and his wife Lorraine who ran Sally their other border collie in the Distance and Accuracy competition.  The dogs were great, Nan and Penny came in first in the Novice division! 

Jenn Nannery who took these photos was there with her BC Pre who came in fourth in that same novice division.  I missed most of round one, getting there late, however Marty convinced me to enter Kane and Raven in round two just for the experience of seeing how they did.

 I had been to a Disc Dog seminar given by Marty at Doggie U earlier in the month and were totally hooked on the sport.  The dogs loved it and if they love playing with Frisbees, I will do my best to let them play in that sport.

Marty took Kane onto the field and threw for him.  He did a great job and the dog really enjoyed playing with Marty.

And then there was Raven, who suffered with my weak throws, but she did a fantastic job.  I need to practice more to be a better disc thrower for the dogs.
